About

Sarah Abercrombie is a contemporary artist working with printmaking and sculptural processes and techniques including carving into clay, wood and lino, drawing and mark making into surfaces and sculpting and forming with materials, creating layers of imagery and meaning. Her work is inspired by being immersed in natural surroundings, human connection and identity, and people and place narratives.

As a printmaking artist and ceramic sculptor, she responds to her chosen materials with intuition and playfulness, exploring their properties and the sensory nature of combining 2D and 3D processes. In particular, she is drawn to the juxtaposition of light, texture and rhythm of nature.

Sarah graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Fine Art: Sculpture and from Goldsmiths University of London with a MA in Art Pedagogy and Contemporary Practice.

She regularly exhibits her work within Suffolk and beyond, and her work is held in private collections in the UK.
